Both the natural processing method and the soil gives this coffee a unique flavour of wild strawberries,  so sweet it reminds us of candy. Light, clear and floral aftertaste reminiscent of fermented grapes and jasmine.

This natural coffee is from a private mill in the local community of Aricha, in the highlands close to Yirgacheffe town. Getting there is quite a ride, as you drive west of Yirgacheffe into the hills, the temperature drops, forest gets thicker and suddenly the sky opens up and you find yourselves in a beautiful valley.

The cherries are from about 100 smallholders in the surrounding areas as well as remote farmers. They have small family plots of both recently planted trees of improved varietals, and traditional old varieties.

Yirgacheffe is known for it’s clean, floral and juicy coffees and high quality sundried lots with genuine and unique fruit and berry flavors
